About Balance Testing
Balance Testing allows you to test your current balance capacity and determine if you are at risk of falls. We know that falls are the no. 1 reason older people are taken to the emergency department in the hospital, and 1 in 20 of these falls leads to a fracture or hospitalisation.
How we walk, how well we can balance, and the strength of our muscles can all influence our risk of falls. We know that falls can be prevented when you definitively know you are at risk and the right measures are put in place

Includes: Registration to the clinic, Initial Consultation, Assessment including balance, gait, and strength testing, Report of Findings, onward referral as required for cardiovascular assessment, medication review, podiatry assessment, and Occupational Therapist assessment, discussion, aftercare and advice including appropriate exercises.
